Regent Seven Seas Cruises new ship announcement proofed with Gard

How Regent Seven Seas Cruises Uses Gard to Ensure Marketing Graphics Are Free of Typos

Gard proofreading example by Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Marketing campaigns rely on beautiful, high-quality graphics. But as any QA specialist or email marketer knows, once text is flattened into a JPEG or PNG, traditional spellcheckers become useless—narrowing the proofreading window and relying completely on manual review. For a global brand like Regent Seven Seas Cruises, manually reviewing visual assets for typos and inconsistencies used to be a major bottleneck.

We wanted to know how their team conquered this challenge, so we reached out to Nicole Rodriguez, Email Marketing Manager at Regent Seven Seas Cruises. We briefly caught up with Nicole via email to discuss how adopting Gard has transformed her team's visual QA process.

To kick things off, could you briefly describe your role at Regent Seven Seas Cruises and the types of campaigns and visual assets your team works with on a regular basis?

Nicole — Email Marketing Manager, Regent Seven Seas Cruises

I am the Email Marketing Manager at Regent Seven Seas, responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns that drive engagement, conversions, and customer retention.

Our team manages a range of campaigns including welcome series, promotional sends, lifecycle and triggered emails, and key announcements to support the full customer journey. We bring these to life through hero imagery, modular templates, dynamic content, and video to ensure each email is engaging and personalized.

That sounds like a lot of visual content to review. What did your QA workflow look like before to ensure marketing images were free of typos, and how has integrating Gard changed that?

Nicole — Email Marketing Manager, Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Before integrating Gard, we didn't have an image-proofing tool. We relied on Grammarly and used minimal image-based content. Now that our templates are more image-driven, Gard has been invaluable.

Do you have any features in mind that you would like to see integrated into Gard that will further improve your QA workflows?

Nicole — Email Marketing Manager, Regent Seven Seas Cruises

A deep integration with ESPs like Salesforce Marketing Cloud would be a big unlock for QA workflows in Gard. Instead of reviewing static mocks, we could pull in live data and real audience segments to see exactly how emails will render at send.

That would make it much easier to catch issues with personalization, fallback content, and edge cases ahead of deployment—and cut down on manual test sends. It would really help bridge the gap between creative proofing and real-world execution.

Thank you for sharing, Nicole. A deeper ESP integration like that is a great idea—we'll definitely be looking into it.

If your team is also navigating the challenge of proofing text baked into marketing graphics, give Gard a try—we'd love to hear how it fits into your workflow.

Disclaimer: Gard provides automated design proofing powered by advanced AI. While highly accurate, we advise users to always conduct a final manual review of high-stakes business, medical, or legal graphics before sending to production.
