Privacy Policy

At Gard, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or upload images for analysis. This may include:

• Personal identification information (Name, email address, etc.)
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
• Images and text content you upload for analysis

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain our website and services
• Improve, personalize, and expand our website
• Understand and analyze how you use our website
• Process your transactions and manage your subscription
• Send you emails, including account updates and support messages

3. Data Security

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your uploaded images are processed for the purpose of analysis and are stored securely. For a plain-language account of how this works — where images are stored, who can reach them, and how sign-in is protected — see our Security page.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how people move through the site and the app — page views, sign-ups, uploads, upgrades. These record that something happened, not what was in your image: the text Gard finds in your scans is never sent to Analytics.

We use Origami to understand which companies visit our website. Origami receives the visitor's IP address, browser information, page path, and a browser identifier, and resolves the IP address to a company rather than identifying an individual. Page queries and fragments are not included in the page path. When used in the signed-in app, a stable account ID is hashed by Origami to exclude existing customers from leads; we do not send email addresses to Origami.

We also use Sentry to catch crashes and errors. It collects technical diagnostics — the error, the app version, and a recording of the session leading up to it — which we use only to reproduce and fix the problem.

5. Third-Party Services

Beyond the services named above, we may use third-party providers such as Stripe, which collect, monitor, and analyze information. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
